The face behind FIELDNOTE
Olivia was born and raised in Sausalito. She graduated from Skidmore College where she studied Environmental Science and Business. Before transitioning to Landscape Design, Olivia worked in outdoor education, at local plant nurseries, sold natural wine, and farmed on organic vegetable farms. She has furthered her design and construction breadth of knowledge with extracurricular college courses in architecture history, landscape design and construction, landscape drawing, and became a Marin Master Gardener in 2020.
Olivia worked as a Landscape Designer on the Christian Douglas Design team and a Garden Consultant and Urban Farmer for The Backyard Farm Company for 5 years before founding Fieldnote.
Olivia brings a grounded, practical, whole-ecosystems approach to landscape and planting design. She cherishes getting to know clients on a personal level and bringing garden dreams to flowery-and-food-filled fruition.
Olivia is an adoring mom to a 2 year old baby girl, an ambitious world traveller, a longtime local mushroom forager, and an avid beekeeper (buy Miel Valley honey here!)
